Our Vision
We're a non-profit that desires to demonstrate the love of Jesus by providing for the spiritual, physical, and financial needs and empowering the area's neediest citizens to transform hopelessness into potential.
Our Mission
In Georgia, our poverty statistics can be overwhelming. According to U.S. census data, Georgia has the third highest overall poverty rate in the nation, and we rank sixth in the nation for food insecurity. Community Christian Council provides meals annually in the West Georgia and surrounding areas. We also host volunteers throughout the year — volunteers who serve selflessly by doing whatever needs to be done — serving meals, providing triage, doing construction, painting...the list goes on! Local partners and programs provide us with food for hundreds of families during the holiday season and throughout the year. Because of generous donations from church congregations, schools, companies, and civic organizations, we are grateful to have the ability to make a meaningful impact to relieve hunger in our own community.
Our Community
Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers
and sisters of mine, you did for me. MATTHEW 25:40
Take Action
Volunteer
Get involved today - and get your family, friends, and church involved. Volunteering through Community Christian Council is a great way to give back and meet new people, while aiding in some of the most important issues facing our community today. Click the link below and fill out our Volunteer Application Form so we can learn more about you or your church.
Get Informed
Encourage others to help donate, advocate or volunteer. Only when we all work together – young and old – can we solve hunger, and make sure every individual has the food they need to grow healthy and strong. Click here to learn more facts about hunger in Georgia.
Host a Food Drive
Food drives are easy to organize and are a great way to pull a company team, congregation, student body or any group together to make an impact in the community. If you have any questions or would like to hold a food drive, please email Tammy Ward.
